Plainfield Bike Train

Departure: 6:00 AM – west side of Plainfield (contact Train Conductor);  6:15 AM - US 40 & Plainfield Commons Drive (south sidewalk, between Starbucks & Chick-Fil-A);    6:25 AM – Bridgeport Road & North Perimeter Road (south shoulder, no parking)

Dates:  Bike-in Breakfast dates (3rd Fridays June-October)

The Plainfield to Indy Bike Hub Bike Train is on-street until reaching downtown.  The first 2 miles is on the wide shoulder of US 40, followed by 2 miles on the wide shoulder of calm North Perimeter Road.  The next 5.5 miles are on 2-lane streets with only occasional shoulders, but interaction with motor vehicle traffic is manageable.  Most of the rest of the route is on calm side streets, the south White River Trail, and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail.  I will be glad to arrange a test ride during a calmer time on a weekend, if someone would like to try that first before adding the complications of preparing for work.
